Cell Coordinator: A Role Serving the Collective

• SOLARIS operates without hierarchy. The coordinator is not a boss, but a leader who uses their skills to bring the cell to life and facilitate the flow of information.

Examples of leadership within a group (fictional names)
Agriculture = Mathieu,
group facilitation = Martha,
medical = Denise & Francine,
food & nutrition = Denise,
organizational engineering & training = Christian,

• They familiarize themselves with how SOLARIS works and ensure the SOLARIS spirit is maintained. They can thus help and inform newcomers.
• They work as a team with other coordinators in their group/cell.
• They can organize meetings via Zoom and/or in person, though all members are also encouraged to do so.
• They create and maintain links with neighboring cells.
• They manage the Telegram group and handle email correspondence for the group if one doesn't already exist.
• Ideally, coordinators number 3 so that at least one is always available and reachable.
• Members of a cell can, in full sovereignty, decide to create another cell if they deem it appropriate.
• Once a cell is functional, it is important to establish a radio/CB/walkie-talkie (PMR) network.
