The Weavers
We are aware that the cell network requires additional work for coordinators, who are already busy. Yet the network is crucial to our operations. That is why we propose creating a third role within the cells alongside the referents and coordinators.
This would be the “weavers,” whose sole responsibility would be networking—establishing contacts between cells within their canton and across cantons, as well as with other networks that will soon all connect with one another.
This role becomes very important in the timing of the events to which we must adapt. I hope you will welcome this suggestion.
The Role of the Weavers
To relieve Coordinators, they will be responsible for the essential networking of cells—within the department, between departments, and with various local networks.
Alongside the directory managed by Referents, this networking is the key to the effectiveness of the Human Internet that Solaris represents.
The typical profile of a Weaver is someone who knows how to build connections between people and, together with Coordinators, organize inter-cell meetings.
It is their responsibility to contact other networks in their area to establish networking with them. This involves not only expanding cell meetings to include these networks but also encouraging them to join the directory through representatives.
Concretely, a member of another network wishing to join the Solaris directory will add to their information the network they already belong to and that network’s contact. This data must therefore be added to the directory entry.
It is important to remind the other networks that a Weaver will contact that Solaris is in no way seeking to absorb them, but rather to include them in the Solaris directory that will serve everyone without exception. This will enable the gathering of all.
