📬  🚩 We are likely on the eve of events that will disrupt the tranquility of Europeans. It is hard to deny this today for those who have until now preferred not to look too closely at the facts. Yet, there is no reason to be afraid—we have all worked toward strengthening solidarity.

We therefore remind everyone of the technical fundamentals of Solaris, which it would be wise for all to review in detail:

  • Its local directories, which will be the essential tool for responding to needs;
  • the physical network with neighboring cells and other local networks to expand mutual aid;
  • the radio network that will be able to take over from usual communication means in case of blackout.

Current events in Iran, where people are waking up and rising up against the ruling mullahs, show that one of the government's first measures was to cut off the Internet to silence social networks and emails, preventing protesters from organizing.

The prolonged power outages announced elsewhere across Europe are another form of blackout.

And if any events affect populations, experience shows that mobile phone networks, even if they are working, will be overwhelmed.

This highlights the importance of radio communications (walkie-talkies and CB radios) to support effective mutual aid operations. It is therefore essential to ensure that everyone within your local cells knows what to do with their equipment in case of a blackout.

Whatever happens in the coming weeks and months, and no one can predict the pace of events, the calm and skills of each person serving all will always be the key to Solaris functioning properly.

Through our targeted monitoring, if we have important information that may concern one or more regions, we will first share it here, then with the relevant cantonal coordinators.

🔔 It is therefore essential to remind everyone to subscribe to the Telegram channel Solaris Suisse (https://t.me/solaris_suisse).
